2010-11 Contest Information

Last year, nearly 200 teams competed in the Minnesota High School Music Listening Contest.  We're hoping for even more participating schools and teams in the new school year.  If you are looking for a way to get your students involved in a meaningful, fun and competitive music history and listening activity, this is it! The contest is open to all Minnesota high school students, 9-12th grade, from public, private, home schools, or music studios.

NEW THIS YEAR: Naxos Subscription for Each Participant!

This year, we are very excited to announce that each coach and student participant will also receive a one-year membership to Naxos Music Library at no extra charge ($245/person value). NML is the most comprehensive collection of classical music available online, with nearly 650,000 tracks plus educational resources that can be accessed anytime, anywhere. We are confident that this resource will greatly enhance the MLC experience. In addition, coaches and students can use Naxos for their own personal enjoyment, in the classroom, or for other musical endeavors.

NML access information will be provided upon MLC registration. Visit www.naxosmusiclibrary.com  for more information about Naxos Music Library.
