2011-12 Contest Information
Last year, nearly 200 teams competed in the
Minnesota High School Music Listening Contest. We're
hoping
for even more participating schools and teams in the new
school year. If you are looking for a way to get your students
involved in a meaningful, fun and competitive music history and
listening activity, this is it! The contest is open to all Minnesota
high school students, 9-12th grade, from public, private, home
schools, or music studios.
Naxos Subscription for Each Participant!
When you register for the MLC, each coach and student participant will receive
a
one-year membership to Naxos Music Library at no extra charge
($225/person value). NML is the most comprehensive collection of
classical music available online, with nearly 800,000 tracks plus
educational resources that can be accessed anytime, anywhere. When you log in to the NML site, you will see a playlist with the
pieces from this year's Study Guide. Each selection is the complete
work, with no narration or commentary. We are
confident that this resource will greatly enhance the MLC
experience. In addition, coaches and students can use Naxos for
their own personal enjoyment, in the classroom, or for other musical
endeavors.
NML access information will be
provided upon MLC registration. Visit
